Noah's First Christmas

Nursery
We completely renovated the room that we chose to be Noah's nursery. It started out with baby-blue colored walls (which even though we knew we were having a boy, I did not like) and had the same old carpet as the rest of the upstairs. I wanted to remove the carpet and add pergo flooring because it supposedly helps keep allergens out of the room. I also wanted to paint the walls and add wainscoting so that the wall color was not so overpowering. Nick worked hard all summer implementing my design and assembling the furniture. Here are the results:

Noah's Arrival
Mr. Noah Patrick decided to make his grand entrance into the world on November 10th at 1:01 pm. He weighed 8 lbs and 1 oz, was 20.5 inches long, and had a full head of long, dark hair. We are absolutely overjoyed with our newest little family member. Here are some pictures from Noah's birth and hospital stay.

Bumps
In honor of baby's due date today (and considering I am not at the hospital and have lots of free time), I am finally posting a collection of my bump growth pictures throughout this pregnancy.
Week 17 - Just barely starting to show
Week 20 - Found out the baby was a boy and finally started to feel him moving around
Week 25 - Becoming a little more obvious that it's a baby bump
Week 27 - Bump has really popped now at the beginning of the 3rd trimester
Week 35 - Baby is almost full term!
Week 38 - Baby is fully cooked

So Many Babies!
There seems to be a baby boom around our house right now. First, we discovered a nest of baby birds in the tree in our backyard:

Then we noticed that a rabbit had decided our front lawn was the perfect place for her bunny hole. The little rascals were hard to catch, but one took a wrong turn and ended up in our garage so I was able to corner him:

And lastly, we got our first really good look at our new baby boy who will be arriving this fall. Obviously we think he's the cutest one and we can't wait to meet him!

St. Croix
We had a great time relaxing and site-seeing on the island of St. Croix, one of the US Virgin Islands. The weather was hot (just like we like it) and the beaches were very empty, so it felt like there was practically nobody else there.
Hopefully it starts to warm up around home soon as we are in summer mode now!

Numero Uno
Hello and welcome to my first post.
Since it's finally starting to warm up a bit outside, Nick and I decided to go on our first Nature Hike of the year. We had never been to this particular site before, so we actually had a little trouble finding the beginning of the trail. While wandering around the parking lot, we came upon this sign. We are relieved that we now know exactly where to get some manure when the need arises.
