Chicks and Ducks
I have to interrupt our summer for one quick second because I forgot to post the Easter photo shoot that the kids did with little baby chicks and ducks. Charlotte wasn't a fan, so she chose the far spot on the hay. We did get her to crack one smile though (once we removed the object of her dismay).

Summer Begins
The day after Noah's last day of school, I took him to his first Cubs game downtown with two of my friends/coworkers. It was a super hot, beautiful, perfect day and a great way to kick off Noah's first official summer vacation.
Prior to the game, we had lunch at a pub. They didn't have a kid's menu, but they were able to whip up a grilled cheese for Noah.
We slathered plenty of sunscreen on for the game. It was near 90 with no clouds. Our bleacher seats were burning our bottoms when we arrived, but we quickly acclimated. Noah tried to pay attention to the game, but got restless by the bottom of the 1st inning, so we made a few rounds around the stadium. We found the water sprayer, said hello to a relief pitcher, ate some french fries with lots of ketchup, got an official first Cubs game certificate (don't worry, we're still Sox fans), and met up with Aunt Ashley who was also at the game that day.
After the Cubs won, we stopped by the fire station nearby.
While we were there, the fire department got a call and they had to dash off. I was pretty impressed how well they maneuvered around all the baseball fans milling about.
On our way to have some delicious pizza dinner, Noah stopped to get a quick drink from this hose in the ground. It was a fantastic day and boy were we wiped by the time we got home.

Wyatt Growth, Charlotte Growth
At the end of April/Beginning of May, Wyatt turned 3 3/4 years old and Charlotte turned 21 months old. I still update the kids' growth pages (so go check them out). I update the boys quarterly while Charlotte is still on a [mostly] monthly schedule.

Visiting Great Gramma
On Memorial Day, we surprised Great Gramma with a visit at her new apartment
Then we stopped for yogurt. Nick did the engineering at this place, so we had to check it out.
Then we spent about an hour playing in the fountain nearby.

May Indoors
We spent a little time inside too. Mostly playing...
...but sometimes sleeping
Wyatt really cracks me up
On my work at home days, sometimes I get to enjoy lunch with these two characters
One rainy weekend we took the kids to their favorite train restaurant
CeCe's new car seat was delivered one day and the kids were super excited (mostly about the large box)
But then she got worried I was going to leave her up there all day
She looks so big sitting in it
Too much car seat excitement led to falling asleep at lunch
