Noah & Daddy

In honor of yesterday being the very last of the 'Daddy & Noah Thursdays'

32 months

Noah has really mastered the monthly picture protocol. He knows if he just gives me one good smile then he is done and hops right down to put the giraffe back on the shelf where he belongs.

My Two Year Old Baby

We started getting the new baby's things out and assembled a few weeks ago. Noah has re-discovered all of his baby toys and he likes them more now than he ever did before. He also has been enjoying trying out the baby gear like this bouncy seat I borrowed from my friend and his old car seat. Most of it actually goes up to 25 or 30 pounds, so he is not even really over the weight limit. One day he spent almost an hour playing in his crib and winding the mobile. It was nice to have him contained for a while so we could get stuff put away.

The Christmas Express

One of Nick's bosses gave Noah a Christmas themed train that his boys used to play with. We took it for a test run last week, but it is now in storage until winter when we will most likely use it under our Christmas tree. Noah loved it.

Muffs

Noah thinks his new noise-cancelling earmuffs are pretty neat

The Problem With Flies

For some reason, the window in our garage suddenly became swarmed with flies. It's a little hard to see in the pictures, but there is clearly more than just a few stragglers who accidentally flew into the garage. Nick sprayed the window and now there are fly carcasses everywhere. Hopefully we figure out where they are coming from. Maybe one layed eggs on the window, they hatched, and then were trapped behind the blinds?

Update: We think it was keeping the stinky diapers in the garbage bin in the garage. Moved the bin and problem solved.

Monsters

Noah saw his first movie in the theatre a week ago - Monsters University. He did really well and sat through almost the entire movie and the previews. I think it went well because he was already familiar with the characters from the first Monsters movie.

Santa's Village

We used our free tickets to Santa's Village and along with some friends and neighbors (since we won so many tickets) had a lovely day riding the rides and checking out the animals (they are a "zoo" as well).

Here is Noah (the short one) with neighbors James and Eli anxiously awaiting their turn on the Carousal.

The Carousal is one of Noah's favorites.

More rides!

This is an original ride from good 'ole Kiddie Land

We also visited the goats and Noah had a blast feeding them right from his hand

A successful pony ride. Fun fact: The horse Noah is riding has the same name as his future brother!

Safety first! His strap kept coming loose on the boat ride.

Batter Up

Lately, Noah has gotten pretty good at playing tee ball. Too bad he has to wait until he's three to sign up for any "organized" tee ball at the park district. We'll just have to keep practicing so he's a pro by next summer.
