Sprouts, Camping, and Parties

After the holiday, Charlotte started her second year of Little Sprouts preschool. This was bittersweet because it is also, after five years, our final year as a family in the program. It's such a great program and we will miss it when it's over.

Charlotte had her first eye exam that week. Sadly, we were informed that she is slightly near sighted and will need glasses in a year or two.

One day Grandma and Papa Bill came to school for Grandparents Day.

Noah enjoyed the nice weather at recess at school.

CeCe and I put together this cat craft.

Wyatt dove into his Treasure X present. We did the chiseling part in the garage.

The outcome was two little green goblin guys, one dragon, and one piece of gold.

On the 7th we attended Lukas' birthday party and on the 8th we attended Colin's birthday party while Nick was in Galena.

These two in superhero mode.

On September 11th, we recognized Patriot's Day.

That weekend, the boys had cub scout camp. They did some fishing, earned some badges, and did a skit.

I drove down on Saturday to pick up Wyatt from camp so he could attend a birthday party at Mr. Rico Loco's. There was balloon animals, glitter tattoos, and divine desserts.

Afterwards, I dropped him back off at camp (a total of 4 hours of driving that day for Charlotte and I). We then went straight up to Schaumburg for movie night (Willy Wonka) at the Thorson's. Luckily, Kari drove us but we still spent a total of 6 hours in the car that day. The boys ended up coming home late that night due to impending thunderstorms so I probably could have saved us one of the trips.

Summer's End

By the end of summer, Wyatt was a pro at riding his bike without training wheels.

We attended a birthday pool party the last Saturday of summer. They also had a reptile show and some arts and crafts in the garage.

On Sunday, we took CeCe to Build a Bear for her birthday. It was the first time she had ever made a bear and she was super excited. She chose a strawberry Shopkins bear. Because it was buy one get one for $10, we let Wyatt choose one for his birthday too. He chose Bowser from Super Mario.

I also had back to school pictures taken of the kids at the nearby Greenhouse.

On the last day of summer, we brought Noah's supplies to school and went to meet his new teacher. We brought Wyatt's BFF, Jaxon, along with us. They enjoyed being silly in Noah's new classroom.

And then I took them all out for lunch.
