Last Day in Myrtle

On our last day in Myrtle Beach we spent the day at Brookgreen Gardens, a botanical garden that used to be a plantation.

As expected, it was full of gorgeous trees covered in Spanish moss.

They had a small farm there too, so we visited a few of the animals.

Exploring further, we found a school house and a storybook playground.

We had lunch at the cafe in the gardens. My favorite part was when Wyatt ordered an "orange pop" and the lady had no idea what he was talking about.

To relax after all the walking, we took a boat ride on the creek. The kids were given binoculars to spot wildlife.

We ended up seeing three alligators. Two in the water swimming and this big guy hanging out by the water's edge.

 It was a massive place, but we tried to explore it all.

For dinner, we had to have pizza at the Mellow Mushroom. This is the third time we've eaten at a Mellow Mushroom on vacation, so now it's a tradition.

After dinner, we went back to the beach to search for sea shells and play in the water.

Nick provided some assistance so CeCe's dress didn't get wet.

Wyatt's sand messages: I like you Dad and I love you Mom.

Later that evening (because we stay up later on vacation), we took the kids to the go cart track. Noah and CeCe rode with Nick and Wyatt drove his own go-kart on the kid's track. It was the best day of his life - he was finally a driver. At one point, another kid tried to get in front of him so Wyatt cut him off and cackled.

For the grand finale, we all went out on the motorized water boats.
