I've been wanting to do a gallery wall for a while now, but couldn't decide where in the house to put it. I finally chose to do a split gallery in the family room, with part of it on either side of the TV. I love the way it turned out!

Daddy's Day

For the first time since I can remember, we didn't have a Father's Day BBQ on Father's Day. We still had a fun day celebrating Nick's first Daddy's Day. Noah gave daddy his gifts and then we spent the day at the Little Red Schoolhouse nature center. They have a brand new visitors center with new exhibits (although you can still go inside the schoolhouse).

Hootenanny

The Will County Forest Preserve has been working on a brand new nature preserve right around the corner from our house called Hadley Valley. We have used the trails already several times, but the official grand opening celebration was this weekend. They held a Hootenanny and a local band "Harvest Moon" came to perform. The weather was perfect and we had a great time.

Healed

Noah finally got his cast off on Thursday. The x-ray indicated that his leg has completely healed. There was some initial stiffness and he is still a little reluctant to use that leg as much as the other, but it should be back to normal soon.

Sox

Noah attended his first White Sox game on Sunday. He didn't want to spend too much time in our seats since there was so much to see, so we took turns walking him around the ballpark. We even got to enter the kid's 'Fundamental' deck since we finally have our admission ticket - Noah!

7 Months

Swing

We recently bought Noah a swing for his big boy playset in the back yard. He had a great time swinging away.

Outdoor Fun

Noah spent some time enjoying the great outdoors while dinner was being barbecued last night.
