Pantry
Originally this blog was just supposed to be about us in general and somehow turned into Noah's baby blog. So I'm going to attempt to blog about some other things too. First on my list: organizing the hall pantry. It was utter chaos in there.
I tackled this one afternoon while Noah took a nice 2 1/2 hour nap. I threw away all of the expired food. A few things had expired before we even moved into this house (not sure how that happened). In my purging, I discovered that we won't be needing to buy any red plastic cups anytime soon.
I purchased a couple organizers, hung a hook on the wall, and moved a few things we never use down into the basement. And now we even have enough room in there to store the vacuum!

I'm a member of an online community called Crowdtap, and through this membership I was given the opportunity to sample a tank top from Old Navy for free. Notice I have also paired it with a grey Old Navy skirt, which I obtained for half-price with a Groupon. Thanks Old Navy!

Sweltering
It's been kind of a boring week as it's way too hot outside to spend any time doing any activities, so we've been cooped up inside. I started working on a new project and I will post about that soon.
He's looking so tall lately. Only a few more weeks until his next appointment so I can find out how much he weighs and how much he's grown. I'm guessing more in height that the former because he's so skinny and he can still fit into 3-6 month outfits as long as the neck stretches enough to fit over his growing head.

Noah and I took a trip up to the Spring Valley Nature Center while Nick was away on a camping trip all weekend.

Summer
We have been getting outside as much as possible to enjoy the nice warm summer weather. This was a picnic we had at Renwick Lake in Romeoville.
And we stopped at the Isle de la Cache museum, also in Romeoville, and tried on some cool colonial hats.

The 4th
Noah celebrates America's 235th Birthday.
We went to see the local firework show in town and discovered the best viewing area was in the Jewel parking lot. Noah seemed to enjoy the show.. when he was paying attention. I think the finale was his favorite part.
Later we watched our neighbors put on their own show and lit some sparklers. Noah slept through the after party.

Standing
We have been working with Noah's weak leg to help it catch up with the other one so he would not have any delays with walking. It appears our efforts have been paying off because he can now stand better than ever and even without assistance for a few seconds at a time.
