Weekend

Noah was pretty happy all weekend and is moving around quite easily considering he has a huge heavy cast attached to one of his legs. Notice how well he sits up all by himself!

On Saturday, Auntie Ashley came for a visit.

And yesterday we went to visit Great-Grandma and she added her autograph to Noah's cast.

Broken

So Noah decided to take a little tumble out of our bed on Wednesday morning and ended up with a buckle fracture of his femur just above the knee. He saw the orthopedic specialist yesterday and had a cute blue cast put on, which will be taken off in three weeks. His overall demeanor seems a little more sad than usual, but it doesn't seem to be because of any pain - more the frustration of not being able to move his leg.

Noah has been thoroughly enjoying his baby foods. His favorites are bananas, sweet potatoes, and apples.

It's Wednesday

So of course we had another photo shoot.

There's nothing cuter than a sleeping baby.

We had our 6 month visit today. He is 15 1/2 pounds (around the 15th-20th percentile) and 26 1/2 inches. He still has not gotten sick once yet (knock on wood) and his only problem continues to be skin issues (eczema and his hemangioma). He loves to chew on his hands and his feet and it's a good thing that summer is almost here because we can't seem to keep any socks on him. He also can sit up by himself, although only for a very short amount of time. Just yesterday he figured out that his 'My Pal Scout' will turn on if he squeezes his paw. We were both amazed at his brilliance.

Mother's Day

Today was my first Mother's Day. I love being a mommy to my sweet little Noah. He is such a joy. Here we are at the Morton Arboretum a few days before Mother's Day.

We spent Mother's Day having a get-together with family.

Starved Rock

Noah had is first official "outing" today to Starved Rock State Park. The weather was perfect for a hike despite an occasional sprinkle here and there. We almost lost one of Noah's socks, but a nice hiker noticed and told us before we had gotten too far.
