In January, Wyatt turned two and half years old. He is such a little character. He can be a total mischief maker one second and melt your heart into a giant puddle a second later. He really knows how to work it and it's so hard to be mad or scold him. He is much more verbal than Noah was at two and talks in very long sentences. He'll try any food, but has some particular tastes now so he won't just eat anything.
He's very attached to his blue blankie and also likes to love on his stuffed animals especially his teddy bear and Peter Rabbit. Don't even try to put him to bed without his blanket. Bedtime is also a bit of a challenge because he really fights it. He would prefer to stay up all night if he could and often he's the last one standing when everyone else has fallen asleep. He has to sleep with two nightlights and the closet light on as he gets scared easily. If we don't close his door all the way he will continually escape until we do. The other day Grandma and Papa found him passed out on the floor of Noah's room instead of his bedroom. He doesn't fall out of his toddler bed nearly as much as Noah did (I can't remember the last time he actually did) so he may be ready for a big boy bed soon. He loves bedtime stories especially interactive ones and you're likely to either wake up at five in the morning with a Wyatt hovering over you or to the sound of him knocking loudly on his door.
He is fascinated with animals, trains, and trucks, especially garbage trucks which he calls garbage cans. His go to phrase lately is, "Wow! Look at that!" Miss Jess at school said the other day he stopped in the middle of lunch pointing at a bird outside with such excitement that she thought something unusual was going on. He loves to be just like Noah and cannot wait to go to Nature School (which I told him won't happen until he potty trains...) He is super inquisitive and asks the same question over and over and over and over.. "What's that, Mom?" "What's that?" "We going home, Mom?" "We going home?" Yes, Wyatt. We are going home.
Wyatt is our little mischief maker as well. He's always getting himself into trouble destroying Noah's projects, coloring on the walls and our less than one week old computer monitor, taking down all the decals in his room, throwing newly organized toys all over the room in mere seconds, running away when we're outside or climbing right into the driver's seat before we can catch him. And the list goes on. He really keeps us on our toes.
He is also my sickly child and he suffers whenever he catches a cold. He uses a nebulizer way more than I wish he had to, he most likely has asthma, and he probably needs his adenoids out.
He knows most of his ABCs, can count pretty well up to twenty, and likes to sing songs from school. He is having a harder time learning his colors, but he will get there. I tell him his eyes are brown and then proceeds to ask about the rest of us "What color are daddy's?" "What color are CeCe's?" He is more outgoing and risk-taking than Noah. For instance he likes to climb up into the sink of his play kitchen and falls much more than Noah (more boo boos too), but he can also be very shy when around strangers too. His favorite TV shows are Octonauts, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Peter Rabbit. And lately he has been obsessed with "Over the Hedge" which he calls "Over the Bridge". He is one sweet and funny little guy.
