Things we did in November

Charlotte loves this puzzle she received for her birthday. She can do it all by herself and has put it together more than fifty times since August.

We stopped by our favorite pet store to visit the animals and were surprised to see they now had a really cool tortoise.

We played some Scrabble

We voted at the library for our favorite literary characters.

Noah and Wyatt learned about horticulture for a Wolf den meeting. Wyatt's favorite part was adding his little (fake) centipede.

Charlotte ate chocolate teddy bears in her winter hat

Wyatt free drew the cover of this Dog Man book by sight and did a pretty good job.

 We took silly selfies

We painted the window trim in the bedroom to match our new white windows

We went to a football Sunday party and Charlotte brought her puppy along.

Nick and I visited Noah at school and played math games for education week.

Wyatt got some puffin sheets to match his puffin pajamas and became barely visible when lying on his bed.

The kids went to a Thanksgiving cookie decorating class at the culinary school

They also asked the kids to write/draw what they were thankful for. They posted the drawings to their social media account and I knew right away this was Noah's.

We got ready for our Christmas photo shoot

And Wyatt was devastated I wouldn't buy him this blue dragon at Noah's swim lesson.

It snowed (just a little bit).

And we went to the scout Turkey Shoot. Wyatt entered his shooter in the contest. It was a bumblebee. He was a runner up and won a prize. He was very excited.

Noah's den also led the flag ceremony for the first time.

A Spooky Time of Year

As Halloween grew nearer, we went on a spooky house hunt with some friends

We did a Halloween fun night at Cosley Zoo where we trick or treated, played games, visited the animals, did crafts, painted pumpkins, and went on a couple rides.

We raked up the leaves in the yard

We went to visit the musical Halloween tree at the Promenade

I dressed up like an opossum and handed out "pumpkin poop" to Charlotte and her Little Sprouts classmates

Noah went on a field trip to Dollinger's with his class and picked out a little pumpkin. Nick met him at school two days later to help carve his pumpkin.
