Our Sunday Best

Noah received his First Communion in May. It was a gorgeous day and he looked super handsome in his suit. I went ahead and bought one for Wyatt too since they would need it again the following week.

Noah and his Godmother, Ashley. Godfather Kurt was ill and could not make it.

I forgot to get a picture of the communion squares, but luckily a friend took a picture with her son so I could see what it looked like. Noah's is top row, fifth from the left.

Proud little sister

The following week it was time to dress up again - this time for my cousin Doug's wedding. The kids had never been to a wedding before and they were excited that they were able to come with us.

The wedding was at a restaurant in the city. For part of the time, Wyatt amused himself by standing behind the window curtain and trying to get people walking by to look at him.

The kids were very well behaved during the wedding and dinner.

Charlotte adores her uncle and enjoyed some dancing with him after dinner.

Charlotte Gets a New Bed and Other Things

Chugging along in April, Charlotte continued her ballet classes.

Wyatt went to a birthday party. Charlotte got to play a bit after her class.

This cowboy is ready for summer.

Cousin Doug reported back with our Flat Stanley who was enjoying his time in Washington DC.

Noah made a square for the First Communion banner. The felt was the exact color of his red shirt, so it was a little tricky getting a picture of him with it.

The twinkies continued their plotting.

Noah had a "no waste" lunch day so I had to make him a special lunch. So, I cut off his crusts and unwrapped his chocolate, but it seemed kind of pointless since I threw them away anyway. We were told the apple core could be sent to the compost bin.

Charlotte finally got her big girl bed. She was super excited.

She had told us all along that she would move out of our room (remember she had been sleeping there since October) if we bought her a big girl bed. We were skeptical, but she moved in the very first night.

Wyatt was concerned that she was going to fall out of bed, so he volunteered to sleep over to keep an eye on her. And yes if you're noticing, one of her window shades is broken.

We had a lot of finger lights left over from school Halloween parties, so Wyatt found a good use for them: lighting up the battle scenes on his desk.

Noah missed swim lessons one day. When I picked up Wyatt, I had a bizarro Noah sitting in his seat.

Christmas Days 10-12

The tenth day of Christmas was craft day. We all pitched in and made a Santa sleigh project and then they each made a Christmas owl.

The eleventh day of Christmas was Noah's First Reconciliation.

How lucky were we that the Pope was also there.

On the twelfth day of Christmas, we wrote our letters to Santa.
