Summer - Week Ten

Week Ten started with CeCe's last t-ball game. They no longer do a party with lunch and a bouncy house, but she did get a snack and medal.

Later that evening, we packed up our bags and our tent and hauled them over to the Slammers stadium for a cub scout overnight. This was CeCe's first time camping and our first time as a whole family. It was Pokemon night at the game.

Snacking at the game. The Slammers played my hometown team, the Schaumburg Boomers (formerly known as the Schaumburg Flyers).

Not happy about the pretzel theft.

Always a fun time when friends are there with us.

The kids got to run the bases after the Slammers' win.

Running the bases:

Then we retrieved our belongings from the car and started setting up the tent.

Making CeCe's shirt come true.

All the scouts and siblings on the pitching mound. Notice that my kids ditched their shoes. The field was pretty dirty and so we had to clean their filthy feet before they could even enter the house the next day.

After running around for a while, the Slammers put on The Incredibles. They also supplied popcorn and warm water. I must have asked the right person, because I was able to secure a few cold waters from a secret stash.

Charlotte slept on the toddler mattress, Nick took the twin, Wyatt and I shared the queen, and Noah just slept on the ground (which he wanted to do).

Breakfast the next morning was homemade granola bars. We sure amassed quite a few water bottles.

The only annoying thing about sleeping at the stadium were the trains that came through nearly constantly the entire evening. Sometimes they blew their horns too.

We ran around the next morning until just before they kicked us out.

Camp outs are exhausting. Also, CeCe was in a mismatched sock phase. I think she picked it from school.

Picking up some new blinds later that day.

CeCe really enjoyed putting together her first Lego set. She did a lot of the work on her own.

We got a good discount on a few boxes, so we temporarily signed back up for Hello Fresh.

On Grandpa and Cheryl day, Sassy came along to drop the boys off for Lego Gone Wild with the Forest Preserve. This year Wyatt was able to attend too.

Swim lessons. Noah likes it when I sit inside on the pool deck.

Our yearly trip to Nick's hockey game when he has an early game.

I love to see how excited they get watching Nick play:

CeCe's last night as a three year old.

The birthday girl on her fourth birthday.

She got a dinner that was comprised of all foods she actually liked.

And Nick put together her new dollhouse bookcase.

That Friday was Wyatt's last day at daycare. We pulled him slightly early to do a few end of summer activities.

His first activity was putting together his new dinosaur museum puzzle.
