Rice Cereal

Generally you can start to give babies their first solid foods between 4 and 6 months. He had started to become hungrier recently so at 19 weeks Noah had his first bite of rice cereal.

We were told that morning is the best time to do it, so we decided to give it to him before his second feeding of the day.  He sat in his high chair and anxiously waited for his new meal.

The first meal - organic rice cereal and milk

And the verdict: Not a big fan of the rice cereal.

Flip Flip Flip

This is what happens when you have to wake a sleeping Noah when he's not ready to get up yet (most of the time it's the other way around!)

Tummy Time Success!

Noah is starting to actually like tummy time.. for a couple minutes at a time. He's also continuing to drool up a storm, but so far there is no sign of any teeth.

4 Month Stats

Noah weighs 14 pounds now and is 25.5 inches long. He's in the exact same percentiles as he has been the whole time, so he seems to be growing pretty consistently.

Noah also was a very brave boy at his appointment and did not cry once when the nurse gave him his shots.

Update: Noah developed his first little fever later last night, but he happily sucked down his grape flavored Tylenol and was back to normal this morning.

High Chair

Noah tried out his high chair for the first time the other day.

There was no food on the menu yet, so Noah just chomped on some toys.

And admired one of his cute diaper cupcakes.

He'll probably enjoy it more when he can slop some real food around.

Learning to Sit

We've started putting Noah in his little trainer seat to help him learn to sit up.  He's been doing pretty well after only a couple days practice.

We're also still working on tummy time. He doesn't hate it as much as he did in the beginning, but still isn't really into it and hasn't tried to push himself up with his arms yet.
