Easter Morn'

The Easter bunny left some great goodies for the boys this year. Noah got a real TMNT big boy bicycle complete with training wheels, a TMNT notebook and pen, TMNT chalk, bubbles and some Reece's Pieces in his new TMNT Easter basket (notice a theme?). Wyatt received some books, a Jungle Book vehicle, a little puppy (just like the one brother carries around), bubbles, and a Mickey Mouse notebook and chalk. They each received a Peter Rabbit DVD as well as a butterfly garden kit to share. We just received the caterpillars for the kit this week. We have to wait for them to spin themselves into cocoons and then we transfer them to the garden where they will (hopefully) turn into butterflies. Then we will release them into the world. I'm pretty sure Noah peeked downstairs before coming into our room because he seemed to already know there was a bike. He was super excited about the whole event.

Afterwards, Noah went on the traditional egg hunt. Wyatt kind of followed him around, but wasn't very into it yet.

So far Noah hasn't quite taken off with his new bike (as expected) but we're hoping he will be a rider by the end of the summer.

Little Sister

I decided to announce my third pregnancy a little more creatively. I went out and purchased a new chalkboard and dressed the boys up in "school" attire. Noah was the teacher and Wyatt was the student. Wyatt is taking lessons in "How to be a Big Brother".

About a month later (and almost three long weeks after the anatomy scan) we took our sealed envelope to the party store to have them fill a box with balloons. We did a gender reveal on Easter with the whole family present. Baby girl Christie is on her way!

Sadly, half of my Easter photos from that day including our egg coloring were deleted by a keyboard-grabbing one year old. Here are some of the remaining pictures.

19 months

As you can see, Wyatt did not want to pose for his 19 month pictures. (Sidenote: Wyatt is now 20 months old).

He must be over the whole 'bear on the chair set-up', because he was a happy boy when I was taking his picture elsewhere that day.

I also thought it was hilarious that he decided to plop down on Noah's overturned garbage can to do a little reading. Whatever works, right?

Wyatt's 20 month picture coming soon.
