Three and a Half

I decided to do Noah's three and a half year pictures at the totem pole outside the nature center. In May he completed his third session of Tadpole nature classes there and it is something that he really enjoyed. The classes are an hour long and consist of a short informational session on the animal (or bug) of the week, a craft, a hike through the woods, and then a snack with story time. It only goes up through age three, so I'm hoping I can fit in one more session in the fall for him.

Picnic in the Park

Why hello there blog readers. It seems I've gotten a little behind again. I usually edit my favorite pictures before posting, but since I'm working full time again (sigh) and dealing with a never-ending sick kiddo (Wy Wy) and actually trying to get a little sleep too... I just haven't found the time.

Going back to May (and warmer weather) here is a little picnic we had at a local park. Noah also experienced his first outdoors what-to-do-when-the-only-bathroom-is-locked situation. It involved a tree. And it wasn't successful. But it prepared him for his second attempt (successful) only three days later. I made sure to explain that this isn't a thing we're doing all the time now and that neighborhood trees were off limits.

As usual, Wyatt just hung around.

Gecko

Noah's latest homework assignment from school was to take a photo of himself with a pet. In the event that you don't have a pet, you can use a friend's pet or a stuffed animal. I didn't want him to be the kid who didn't have a real animal in his picture, so I decided to ask our next door neighbor if we could snap a quick picture with their dog.

It turns out the dog was in a growly sort of mood so they suggested using their lizard instead. I had no idea they had a lizard (don't often see them walking it outside..) and I thought this was a great idea. Noah was very brave and held the little lizard very carefully in the palm of his hand for the picture.
