We took the kids to a make your own stepping stone workshop at a local store. Stepping stone kits can be purchased to do at home, but why get your home messy when you can do it at the store.

And Wyatt started his first season of pitch baseball.

At this age, we were able to be assigned to the same team as friends so not only were we on the same team as Wyatt's buddy Jaxon, but we got placed with the team my co-worker was coaching.

Charlotte ended her first Little Sprouts year.

And she finished up her ballet class

 

  We celebrated Mother's Day back at The Landing

Hardly anyone showed up at the annual lollipop hunt because it was raining up until 2 minutes prior, so we got a tons of lollipops.

We started doing cook outs and camp fires.

The boys tried out the new bubble stomp rocket that I got on clearance over the winter. It actually worked pretty well.

No, we did not take the kids to see Child's Play (but Wyatt does look perfect in that cut-out). This was Detective Pikachu.

And having a double sleepover in my bed...

 May was our bi-annual trip to the dentist.

Noah had another field trip, this time to a nature center in Batavia.

I volunteered at Noah's Field Day again as well as at the 2nd Grade Picnic

One night, we made our own pizzas from a kit I found at Costco. They were quite tasty.

 

And Noah's class held a super cute award ceremony at the end of the school year. They performed the sign language song again (since most parents missed it) and then each student received a special award. Noah received the Bucket Filler award. The class had a virtual "bucket". To fill the bucket, you perform a good deed. Bad deeds and actions cause the bucket to spill. Noah was a good bucket filler throughout the entire year and his teacher even mentioned that he would report to her when others were doing nice deeds too.

Scouts in the Spring

The 2019 scouting year ended with some fun activities. Our Pack had their first Raingutter Regatta. The boys had to create a boat from recycled materials and then race them in a competition using only their own wind power.

Noah got locked in jail during a den outing to the police station.

The boys went on the spring camp out. They slept in cabins instead of tents at this one.

They did some activities and played games and enjoyed scootering around the grounds. Wyatt enjoyed using a scooter so much, we bought him his own scooter later that week as an early birthday present.

And had a bonfire.

They also crossed over to their next rank. Noah became a Bear and Wyatt became a Tiger so now he will get to wear the official Cub Scout uniform.
