Off and Running

Noah has been a little extra cautious about learning to walk. He started walking with his walker around 10 months old and loved to walk around the house holding onto our hands, but had some trouble getting enough confidence to ever go off on his own. About 4 weeks ago we finally had a breakthrough. He let go of an object and walked a couple of steps holding on to just one of my hands.

A few days later he started to let go with both hands.

So we decided to start doing nightly walking sessions. We would have him walk between the two of us and gradually increased the distance as he got better. This led to walking small distances between pieces of furniture, but he still wasn't ready to really go for it.

That was roughly two weeks ago. I am now happy to report that Mr. Noah is officially a walker.
