For some reason I always take the month of June off from blogging. Probably because it's finally SUMMER. Anyway, I have some catching up to do. Heading back to the end of February, Noah earned his Scout Sunday patch one Sunday by attending church in his uniform. This is probably the easiest patch to earn, so we make sure to do it every year.
Charlotte started ballet lessons for the first time. She was super excited. I was worried she would be too hesitant to participate since it wasn't a mommy and me class like gymnastics, but she jumped right in.
Fairy tale dance:
I took the two younger kids out on a super cold, windy day to see the final installment of the How to Train Your Dragon series. I have to admit that after three movies and countless seasons of this show, the ending made me a little sad.
We had to pose in this Lego Movie prop too because movie pop-ups are really fun
The movie inspired Charlotte to be a viking (with a spider monkey mask)
Same captivated expression
The end of February also means Dr. Seuss' birthday and Wacky Wednesday.
Wyatt's class got to do a Flat Stanley project. He sent one Stanley to Aunt Ashley in Seattle and one Stanley to his Godfather Doug in Washington DC.
CeCe and I attended the Disney Jr. Dance Party and we ran into one of her school friends there. She loved the music and characters and danced along a little too. We started off with Mickey and the Roadster Racers.
Puppy Dog Pals
Doc McStuffins
Vampirina
Elena of Avalor
And of course, Minnie Mouse
Charlotte dancing to Minnie's Bow Be Mine:
Noah was too sick to attend his art show, so Grandpa and I went and took pictures of his art
Noah lost one of his teeth in his Jimmy Johns sandwich and accidentally ate it. He wasn't terribly upset. He wrote a note and the tooth fairy still brought him some money.
We went to the park district's Shamrock Hunt. I accidentally found one of the prize shamrocks while cleaning up some that had blown out of bounds, so Noah won a prize.
Nick and Charlotte went to their second Daddy Daughter Dance. Charlotte danced so much she wore out the Daddy.
The princess theme for this year's dance was Rapunzel
I guess the dancing did wear her out a bit
