Kentucky Lakehouse

This is the lakeside view of the house we rented on Lake Barkley. We had our own private dock down a slightly lengthy staircase where we could do some leisurely afternoon fishing.

This was Noah's first time fishing - we even bought him a little fishing pole. He was really into the reeling part of it. Sadly, he did not catch any fish (our hooks were too large for the fish), but still had a great time learning.

This particular afternoon my brother caught five fish in a row (he had the only small hook). Noah thought it was fantastic!

Here are some more pictures of the wonderful house where we stayed. This is the lower deck, off the basement, which had two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, a pool table, and a TV area.

The main floor also had its own wrap-around deck with Adirondack chairs. There was a really nice modern (yet a little cramped) kitchen, a TV area (with bad surround sound wiring), an eating area, laundry room, and a bedroom/bathroom.

Finally, upstairs were two more bedrooms (including ours), a bathroom, and a loft.
