Maple Syrup

I took the morning off work to take Wyatt to the annual maple syrup presentation at nature school. The last time I did maple syrup day was with Noah two years ago, but Wyatt asked me to come again this year. First we watched how Mr. Bob drilled into a maple tree and hung a bucket to collect the sap.

Then we headed over to the sugar shack to watch how the sap is turned into syrup. It's a very lengthy process and it takes quite a lot of sap to make even a small amount of syrup.

And finally, we enjoyed a delicious pancake breakfast

Afterwards, we hung out with Sprout for a little while. Wyatt really wants to get a pet of his own.

Wyatt's name on the preschool door. He's a bird.
