Labor Day Weekend

We spent Labor Day weekend in Schaumburg, like usual. Friday night I met some High School friends for dinner. Of course we had to get the absurd chocolate pinata.

Nick and I had a kayaking trip planned for Saturday morning, but it was rained out. So we all decided to head down to a nearby mall for the day.

On Sunday we did the fest

And went for a walk around town square

And Uncle Kurt won us some prizes because that's his favorite thing to do. We tried to stay for the fireworks, but it started raining so we just watched them on the long walk back to the car.

Monday was the parade. Temperature in the upper 80's as usual.

Our village re-scheduled their Fourth of July fireworks twice because of rain and we headed back out that night to watch the second re-scheduling.
