We went on vacation a little early this year due to my pregnancy and chose to rent a beautiful lake house in Kentucky. It was located right next to the Land Between the Lakes area and we spent some time exploring there.
We didn't get a chance to meet any real Elk (except from an extreme distance). This nice guy was inside the Visitor's Center.
We also didn't get any good pictures of Buffalo while out on the range due to the rain that day. Here Noah is looking for some animals. We did find some nice droppings though. The whole experience really felt like a scene from early Jurassic Park. We didn't see any dinosaurs on the tour either, sadly.
The only lunch we could find that day was inside a convenience store. But they had a deli bar! Noah enjoys his lunch while we take a break.
We then went to check out the Nature Station where we saw many interesting wild animals like an Eagle, Turkeys, Coyotes, a Bobcat, Owls, Turtles, a Deer, and Snakes! Noah was brave and even gave one King snake a little pat.
