Sleeping Bear Dunes

For our third annual family vacation, we rented a cottage in northwestern Michigan near the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Our first morning we decided to jump straight to the main attraction and hit up the dunes.

First we drove the scenic drive and got a few nice views of the surrounding areas

Walking back from the scenic overlook was apparantly too exhausting for Noah. Just wait til he sees how tough the dunes are!

Our first look at the famous Sleeping Bear Dunes. The drop is so sharp that you can't even see the bottom until you are at least halfway down. We decided not to attempt to reach the bottom. It was hard enough coming back from the halfway point. The pictures really can't grasp how awesome this was. Truly a magnificent sight.
