Wyatt had a rough start to 2017. We found out he needed to have his adenoids out and more ear tubes placed (due to continued fluid in his ear) and then a month before his surgery we discovered he had pneumonia again for the second time. We moved Wyatt's toddler bed into our room so we could keep an eye on him at night and luckily the pneumonia cleared his lungs just in time.
His surgery went smoothly and he handled it pretty well although he did start crying when he realized they were separating him from us to go in for the surgery. Afterwards he was groggy for a bit, but after only one hour he suddenly pepped up and requested lunch. He was supposed to stay home from school for a week, but by the afternoon of his surgery he had already started to run around and so he returned to school three days later.
At his one month check-up, the doctor said his ears looked perfect!
