The brutal heat continued into Saturday of Week 5. Wyatt's baseball class was moved indoors and it seemed like a good morning for some munchkins.
It also seemed like the perfect day to surprise Wyatt with his early birthday present.
His very own backyard water slide! His expression says it all.
The boys loved the slide, but Charlotte was content sitting inside and staying dry.
The next day we met friends at Level 257 for some inside fun.
First up, we did some bowling. It was boys versus girls as we had an even 4-4 split.
Noah ended up winning overall with 95 points. To clarify, Kurt was Dummy Man (self-named) and Lo Ve (Love) was Ben.
After bowling, the kids each got a game card and had one hour to play as many games as possible. I mostly followed Charlotte around. We played some classics like Q*bert and Pacman.
And this really fun Ice Man game that really shoots out water.
We also attempted some air hockey
Noah was pretty much on his own. I did manage to catch him playing this shooting game.
This is Monday.
Tuesday was July 3rd. I didn't want to get too crazy with fireworks this year, so we decided to just do July 3rd and 4th fireworks. July 3rd we hit up Lockport's show.
Charlotte watched the first half, but by the finale was pretty apathetic about the whole thing. It was a good show like always.
It's a good thing we decided to go on the 3rd, because July 4th ended up getting rained out. We did have fun at a friend's party though.
I'm pretty sure we didn't do any swimming on Thursday, but Charlotte decided to wear her swimsuit anyway and work on her Elmo letters.
Friday completed Noah's second and final week at Camp Manitoqua. It culminated in a fun patriotic parade for the parents. This was his last year in AAA. Next year he'll be in the B's.
